As a parent, there’s nothing more difficult than watching your children struggle and feeling powerless to help. Both of my teenage sons were facing serious challenges – legal issues, behavioral problems, unresolved trauma, substance use, and a lack of trust in others. Their education was suffering, and they had little direction or hope for the future.

Advantage Foster Care changed that.

My Eldest son spent two years at the group home, and my Second son is currently in the program. The transformation I’ve seen in both of them is nothing short of incredible. Through the support, structure, and genuine care provided by the staff at Advantage, they’ve grown in ways I never imagined possible.

Staff members like Kim, Group Home Manager, played a huge role in helping my sons build confidence and stability. Her consistent presence and dedication gave them the structure they needed while still making them feel heard and respected. And Holly, Social Work Case Manager, has gone above and beyond to make sure they had the support and resources to work through past trauma and move forward with a sense of hope. Her compassion and communication with our family has been a true lifeline.

Today, my sons have the confidence to stand up for themselves, the motivation to find jobs, and the drive to reach goals like earning their driving permits. Advantage has given them more than just a safe place – it has given them tools for life and the belief that they can succeed.
